%0 Journal Article %T ¨¢reas prioritarias para colectar germoplasma de (Crataegus L.) en M¨¦xico con base en la diversidad y riqueza de especies %A Alberto N¨²£¿ez-Col¨ªn %A Carlos %J Agricultura t¨¦cnica en M¨¦xico %D 2009 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the tejocote (crataegus spp.) is a fruit tree widely distributed through the mexican territory, 13 species had been reported in the northern and central regions and two or more species can exist in southern mexico. the location of the highest biodiversity of this genus in mexico is unknown. therefore, the present biogeographic study aims to determine the priority areas for germplasm collection on the basis of diversity and species richness of the genus crataegus in mexico, in 2007. the software diva-gis version 2 was utilized to obtain the species richness and diversity considering the number of species per cell in a grid of one degree of latitude per one degree of longitude. high diversity was observed in three different regions of mexico. the first region is located at northeastern mexico, specifically, at the southwest of the state of nuevo leon bordering the southeast of coahuila. the second at central mexico, at the east of the estado de mexico, the state of tlaxcala and the central area of puebla. the third region is at the central highlands in the state of chiapas. these regions could be considered the priority areas for collecting representative crataegus germplasm. %K beta diversity index %K diversity index %K tejocote %K rosaceae subfam. maloideae. %U http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0568-25172009000300010&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
