%0 Journal Article %T La yerba mate en misiones (Argentina): Estructura y significados de una producci¨®n localizada %A Rau %A V¨ªctor %J Agroalimentaria %D 2009 %I Universidad de los Andes %X for ecological, social, and historical reasons, the productive organization and consume of yerba mate in argentine took deep roots in the territory. the aim of this study is to characterize the structure as well as the meanings of this production by examining it through the localized agriculture systems theory (sial). besides the economic dimension, two main dimensions of central analysis have been taken: the historical and the identitary. afterwards, the recent history and the current crossroads of this production in argentina will be described, emphasizing the identification and valorization of the collective resources in its territory. on the one hand, the study is based on a corpus of more that forty interviews and notes taken on the ground in the misiones province and, on the other hand, in statistical data and the interpretation and analysis of documentary sources. %K yerba mate %K localized agriculture systems %K quality %K collective action %K misiones %K argentine. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1316-03542009000100006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
