%X this paper examines the results as well as initial impacts of the implementation of the venezuelan workers alimentation law (£¿ley de alimentation de los trabajadores en venezuela£¿) through the use of coupons or food tickets. an applied survey to a national sample of 1.200 people during the second semester of the year 2008 shows, as main result, that this mechanism is perceived as the expression of a policy where the private sector, jointly with the public sector, contributes to the inclusion of a higher number of workers to the alimentary benefit, impacting positively the level of the workers£¿ life.
