%X we present the results of the analysis of archaeological plant remains from rock shelters with paintings ofarica's precordillera (northern chile), specifically, we refer to pampa el muerto 3 and 8 (pm-3 and pm-8) and tangani 1 (tan-1) sites. with these results, we identified the different activities developed in these spaces and, thus, we try to document who could be the authors of these rock art manifestations in pre-hispanic times. finally, our results are discussed in relation to other contemporary sites of the atacama region.
