%0 Journal Article %T Estabilidad del rendimiento y potencial agron¨®mico de cultivares de ma¨ªz de endospermo normal y QPM en zonas agroecol¨®gicas de Venezuela %A Garc¨ªa M %A Pedro J %A Cabrera P %A Samuel R %A P¨¦rez C %A Alberto A %A Silva D %A Rub¨¦n J %A ¨¢lvarez P %A Rosa M %A Mar¨ªn R %A Carlos A %A Monasterio %A Pedro P %A Santella Q %A Mario D %J Agronom¨ªa Tropical %D 2009 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the main goal of this study was to determine the yield stability of nine maize, zea mays l., cultivars, both normal and qpm endosperm, evaluated at the main states corn producers of venezuela, using the additive main effects and multiplicative interactions (ammi) model. the trials were conducted at 8 locations of venezuela, during the 2002 rainy season. a randomized complete block design with 4 replications was used. the plot was 2 rows 5.0 m long, 0.70 m between rows and 0.20 m within plants. a combined analysis of variance was performed for yield (kg ha-1) considering a mixed model. when a genotype by environment interaction (gei) was detected, the stability parameters of the ammi model were estimated. ten character, both plant and ear, were used to evaluate the agronomic performance of cultivars. portuguesa-2002, p-30r92 and portuguesa-2012 were the hybrids with higher yields and high stability through the locations. the inia qpm-2 hybrid got high yield and outstanding agronomic performance, which means that it can compete with other hybrids commercialized in the national seed market. the both, productive and agronomic potential observed at the tur¨¦n-2000 varieties suggest that it can be an alternative of corn production, mainly for small and intermediate country's farmer. grain yield did not show important phenotypic correlation effects with others agronomics character studied %K corn %K zea mays l %K stability analysis %K ammi model %K cultivars. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0002-192X2009000400008&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
