%X this work contributes to a (re)thinking of the work and intellectual position of one of the greatest brazilian thinkers, clovis moura, a very important brazilian thinker of the negro social history. it analyzes this radical social scientist's academic career, and it shows, as well, a part of his life story that has contributed to his theoretical and practical ideas. and it also highlights his late acceptance among the academic circles.
