%X three species of cryptachaea archer, 1946 are described, two of them from brazil: c. amazonas sp. nov. from reserva florestal adolpho ducke, manaus, amazonas, and c. maldonado sp. nov. from base de opera£¿£¿es ge¨®logo pedro de moura, porto urucu, urucu river, coari, amazonas, based only on males. a new association of male and female for achaearanea hieroglyphica (mello-leit£¿o, 1940) is proposed. the male from french guiana, attributed to the last species, is considered a new species of cryptachaea, c. ingijonathorum. the male of achaearanea tingo levi, 1963, is described for the first time. new records are given for a. trapezoidalis (taczanowski, 1873).
