%X through new records and collections review, we confirmed the presence of nyctelia fitzroyi waterhouse, 1841 and nyctelia solieri waterhouse, 1841 (coleoptera: tenebrionidae) in the magallanes region. this solves a historical confusion related with the presence or not of both species in the region. new localities are given and the biogeographic relevance is discussed.
