%X the present reflection is based on the consideration of bioethics as one promoting discipline for the dialogue among the different branches of science, within the moral valu¨¦ framework of the occidental culture. the core of this article is the ethical use of antidepressant substances regarding existential issued rather than a therapeutic related use. our objective is to review the following aspects: a. an anthropological sight. man as a lacking entity. b. the purposes of medicine and the use of psycho-tropics in various situations. c. the abuse of medical substances a solution to common life problems. after completing the analysis, a proposal on how to handle sadness in a non medical way, admitting human limitations, will arise.
