%0 Journal Article %T El g¨¦nero en el cuerpo %A G¨®mez %A Mariana Daniela %J Av£¿£¿ %D 2009 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X in the context of my doctoral research, one of my centrals premises is that gender, as a social difference and a social structure, it's constantly constructed by a particular interpretation of sexual difference, and it has three dimensions interlinked: it's embodiment (in concrete social moldeled bodies), it's spaceallized (gender has inmediate consecuences in the social production of spaces and places) and it's represented and simbolized (through discourses and representations about the feminine and masculine world that language, ideologies and identities expresses). in this article my aim is to explore in methodological and theoretical terms a moment of this relationship: the links between body and gender, between gender and the ways in wich it's embodiment, and also between gender and the concept of habitus (bourdieu, 1998), considering the cultural construction of gender among the western toba from formosa province -better known as qomlec-, an indigenous people located in the west-center chaco region of northeast argentina. %K gender %K body %K habitus %K western toba. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1851-16942009000200015&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
