%0 Journal Article %T "Cuerpos que importan" en el contrapunto de coplas del carnaval humahuaque£¿o %A Mennelli %A Yanina %J Av£¿£¿ %D 2010 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X in this article we investigate which implications will the performance of the contrapunto de coplas have or the construction of generic identities in the carnival of "cuadrillas" in humahuaca, jujuy. in this sense, we state that such performance will have two functions: a transgressor one, as it operates as critic of the institutions and the values which regulate the relationships between genres, and in a hypothetical way and in another level of analysis, which will have also a regulatory function, because it will contribute to establish heterosexual relationships between the participants of the carnival. thus, we propose that this performance at the same time that it builds itself as a "staging" of the struggle for the senses and social evaluations that floats around the definition of roles and attributes assumed by "men" and "women" in the culture of the persons who recite couples ("copleros"), in the end will be legitimating the "bodies that matter" in the carnival. %K contrapunto de coplas con caja %K carnival %K body %K gender. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1851-16942010000100010&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
