%0 Journal Article %T Difusi¨®n y consumo de la fotograf¨ªa etnogr¨¢fica chaque£¿a %A Reyero %A Alejandra %J Av£¿£¿ %D 2010 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X in this paper we deal with the diffusion and consumption experience of two photographic collections of the xx century. the former gathers the images of the gran chaco native towns, taken by grete stern in 1958-1964. the last includes the photos of immigrant colonies of resistencia and nearby localities obtained by pedro luis raota, approximately in 1978. both collections go through dissimilar circulation processes and exhibit, from different points of view and interests, contradictory realities of chaco. for this reason, in this paper we explore some of the subjective contexts in which both collections were used as academic investigations tools and as aesthetic exhibition materials. we focus our analysis in the appropriation of these images by the hegemonic sector; additionally, we try to explain to what extent these images belong to the people represented in them or to their descendants. and if it so, they must be given back to them. %K photographic %K circulation %K appropriation %K chaco. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1851-16942010000100012&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
