%X modeling investigation as a learning environment for the construction of mathematical knowledge is becoming prevalent in academic environments. this learning environment facilitates a pedagogical structure that promotes the identification and dissemination of both explicit and tacit student knowledge through the study and codification of mathematical ideas, present in systems taken from reality. in this article, we discuss the main features for the conversion of both explicit and tacit mathematical knowledge through the use of modeling as a learning environment.
