%0 Journal Article %T Variaciones en la estacionalidad de polen y esporas f¨²ngicas en la atm¨®sfera de la ciudad de La Plata (Argentina) %A Nitiu %A Daniela S %A Mallo %A Andrea C %J Bolet£¿-n de la Sociedad Argentina de Bot£¿£¿nica %D 2011 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X we present the first data on representativeness and seasonal variation of pollen and fungal spores as a whole in the atmosphere of the city of la plata during july 2000 / june 2001. total was 201889.15 bioaerosols, 15% of which was contributed by 54 pollen types and 85% by 79 spore types. the pollinic index came from arboreal pollen (pa) in 74% and herbaceous pollen (pna) in 26%. the pa maximum concentration took place in september due to platanus and fraxinus. the pna presented two peaks, one in december due to poaceae, and the other one in march from ambrosia. in regard to the fungal component, spores from oomycota, zygomycota, myxomycota ascomycota, and basidiomycota were identified. these bioaerosols were present throughout the year in high concentrations being more abundant in spring - summer time. imperfect fungi mitospores were dominant in the cloud exceeding 44% of the spore index. the major peak was in february due to cladosporium spores. we identified two seasonal periods in which, high concentrations of pollen and fungal spores occurred simultaneously. the first takes place in spring and consists of elements of platanus, fraxinus and aspergillus / penicillium and the second peak is aestival and involves ambrosia, alternaria and cladosporium. %K pollen %K fungal spore %K seasonal variation %K la plata. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1851-23722011000200009&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
