%X the goal of this work is to characterize the distribution of the calico crab hepatiis pudibundus (herbst, 1785) in fortaleza bay, ubatuba (sp), analised as a function of several environmental factors. total of 405 specimens were collected in seven radiais in the bay. hepatus pudibundus occurred in all radiais with heterogeneous abundance and its distribution was associated to several factors, mainly the texture and organic of sediment.
