%X this paper presents the application of a test designed to access speech intelligibility and speech production in venezuelan spanish.£¿ the test consists of 70 pairs of words differing by only one distinctive feature in initial position, exception made of rr/r. an initial evaluation showed that each token was perfectly adequate. 15 subjects with speech disorders participated voluntarily in the application of the test. from the analysis of data from the application has allowed us to suggest the existence of a correlation between the processes of perception and production in the speech disorders, we suggest that are evidence that multiple processes in which different levels of representation language system interact simultaneously in several directions.£¿ joint evaluation of the processes of perception and speech production in venezuelan spanish, allows obtaining more accurate data on the alterations of these processes of language, which ensures the identification and treatment of the speech disorders.
