%0 Journal Article %T Cualidad Vocal y Hendidura Labiopalatina Corregida: An¨¢lisis Ac¨²stico y Audio-Perceptivo %A Mart¨ªnez Matos %A Hern¨¢n %J Boletin de Linguistica %D 2008 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the cleft lip and palate affect the production of speech and voice. this alteration is caused by velopharyngeal insufficiency. the purpose of this research is to identify acoustic and audio-perceptive parameters that characterize the voice quality of five venezuelan subjects with operated cleft lip and palate. the data analyzed corresponds to recorded material which consisted of the maintained production of the sound corresponding to the phoneme /a/ and to the reading of a minimum pair test. the acoustic analysis detected the fundamental frequency, f1, f2, f3, the presence of nasal noise and the intensity of the sounds produced. the vpas was used in the audio-perceptive analysis with the purpose of determining the vocal qualities of the subjects. we have concluded that the audio-perceptive, acoustic, physical and physiological features associated to the production of speech are correlated. %K vocal quality %K perception %K production of speech. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0798-97092008000200005&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
