%0 Journal Article %T Anglicismos En El L¨¦xico Disponible De La Provincia De C¨¢diz (Espa£¿a) %A Gonz¨¢lez Mart¨ªnez %A Adolfo E %A Orellana Ram¨ªrez %A Pepa %J Boletin de Linguistica %D 2006 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X this study analyzes the anglicisms in the lexicon available to pre-university speakers in the province of c¨¢diz. we examine the presence of anglicisms in a lexical corpus which has been extracted from gonz¨¢lez mart¨ªnez (2002). servicio de publicaciones de la universidad de c¨¢diz. we distinguish between loanwords and foreign words. the former are words coming from the english language, even though they may have been introduced into spanish through any other language. the loanwords have been adapted to spanish both in form and function. we identify foreign words as those that keep their original form and function. finally, we analyze the proportion of anglicisms with regard to the lexicon on which our corpus is based. %K applied linguistics %K lexical availability %K anglicisms. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0798-97092006000100001&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
