%X since the first detection of aedes albopictus (skuse, 1894) in spain in 2004 the expansion of this invasive mosquito (diptera, culicidae) has been constant through the east of the iberian peninsula. all the geo-referenced species records are provided together for the first time in this work. the potential negative implications for the public health as well as the spanish and european management against the species are also briefly discussed.
