%X following a discussion on early andean space, resource and territorial organizational practices we propose the political and territorial logics that might have operated in tarapac¨¢ (regi¨®n of tarapac¨¢, chile) during the tawantinsuyu and the early colonialperiod. despite abundant evidence ofruptures caused by the political-administrative divisions imposed by viceroy francisco de toledo, we were able to identify certain continuities or readaptations ofthe territorial logics andsymbolicpractices ofspatial organization.
