%X this article examines the capital of honduras-tegucigalpa-focusing on its "twin cities" of comayag¨¹ela and tegucigalpa, examining the relationships between topographic and socioeconomic exclusion, structural and symbolic violence, and the application of neoliberal policies. it explores the city post-hurricane mitch and post-coup d'¨¦tat using historical and ethnographic data to shed light on tegucigalpa, the troubled political center of a corporatizing state.
