%0 Journal Article %T El Papel Funcionamiento y la Comunicaci¨®n Familiar en los S¨ªntomas Psicosom¨¢ticos %A Rivero-Lazcano %A Nayeli %A Mart¨ªnez-Pampliega %A Ana %A Iraurgi %A Ioseba %J Cl¨ªnica y Salud %D 2011 %I Colegio Oficial de Psic¨®logos %X the goal of this study was to test the effect of family variables (cohesion, adaptability and satisfaction) on the relationship between communication and psychosomatic symptoms. the family communication patterns model (koerner & fitzpatrick, 2004) and the circumplex model (olson, 2000) were used to study family communication and family functioning. the sample consisted of 455 university students in the basque country. the results emphasize that there are more symptoms in members of families with irregular leadership and with roles that are not clear, whereas those families with an open expression of ideas, thoughts and feelings, tend to have fewer symptoms. these results open a new line of research that will help to verify the results presented and to have a better comprehension of the psychosomatic symptoms. %K family communication %K family functioning %K satisfaction %K psychosomatic symptoms. %U http://scielo.isciii.es/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1130-52742011000200006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
