%0 Journal Article %T Actitudes de los Estudiantes de Pedagog¨ªa de las Regiones del B¨ªo B¨ªo y la Araucan¨ªa de Chile hacia la Presencia de Ni£¿os Inmigrantes en la Escuela: An¨¢lisis Diferenciales %A Navas %A Leandro %A S¨¢nchez %A Alejandra %J Psykhe (Santiago) %D 2010 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %R 10.4067/S0718-22282010000100004 %X the principal objective of the study was to analyze attitudes towards multicultural education in a group of chileans student teachers. the design was exploratory, descriptive and correlational. one-hundred and seventeen individuals aged 17 to 33 participated and were given the multicultural education scale of attitudes (cabrera, esp¨ªn, mar¨ªn & rodr¨ªguez, 1997a). results indicated that the selected instrument presented acceptable psychometric properties and the individuals' attitudes showed a favorable trend, with the exception of the variable named negative multiculturality. however, a significant number of individuals showed intermediate attitudes, which could indicate subtle prejudice. better attitudes were observed among women and in individuals who have been associated with immigrants. %K attitude %K immigration %K multicultural education %K prejudice. %U http://www.scielo.cl/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0718-22282010000100004&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
