Estrategias de Marketing Promocional en Unidades de Servicio de Información de la Universidad del ZuliaKeywords: marketing strategies, information service units, promotion. Abstract: at present, marketing strategies have penetrated organizations in an accelerated manner to offer opportune responses in developing the proposed processes. the objective of this article is to analyze marketing strategies in information service units as key factors in the process of transforming the university of zulia. a descriptive, field study was performed; an instrument was applied to 20 information unit coordinators. results highlighted that 80% of the coordinators do not apply foda analysis to their units. they also showed that 75% of the coordinators promote the unit?s services; 55% promote using triptychs and information leaflets, 35% on a daily frequency. conclusions included that initiative exists to promote service of the units, marketing factors are important, documentary and service marketing are mixed, but there is no marketing strategies practice that elevates the quality potential in the above- mentioned units.
