Aphelinus abdominalis (DALMAN) (HYMENOPTERA: APHELINIDAE), PARASITOIDE DE áFIDOS EN CUBA

with the aim of widening the knowledge on parasitoids of aphids, which can contribute to an effective management and conservation of the beneficial fauna present in horticultural systems, areas devoted to vegetables in the city of havana were periodically sampled from october to december 2010. the samples consisted of aphids with visible evidence of parasitism or mummies, which were transported to the laboratory and kept in petri dishes until emergence and identification of the parasitoids. the results proved the presence of aphelinus abdominalis dalman (hymenoptera: aphelinidae) parasitizing myzus persicae (sulzer) on chard (beta vulgaris l. var. cicla).
