Reconstrucción artroscópica de las lesiones circunferenciales del labrum glenoideo: técnica y resultadosKeywords: glenohumeral instability, arthroscopy, glenoid labrum. Abstract: background: circumferential glenoid labrum lesions are an infrequent association. there is only one report in the literature that describes such association. our goal is to present the surgical technique and evaluate the functional results obtained with arthroscopic reconstruction. methods: we analyzed 8 patients with a diagnosis of triple labral lesions treated between january 2005 and december 2006. mean age: 24; mean follow-up: 15.4 months. patients were functionally evaluated with the constant and ucla scores and the simple shoulder test. results: 8 patients were arthroscopically assessed and stabilized with a mean of 5.4 suture anchors. functional scores improved in all cases, obtaining the highest at 6 months from surgery, with excellent results. one case presented local asymptomatic chondrolysis and required a second procedure. there were no cases of recurrent instability. conclusions: the arthroscopic repair of triple labral lesions can restore normal stability to the glenohumeral joint with excellent functional results and high patient satisfaction.
