the general objective of this article is to discuss the evolution of the political and ideological formulation of the economic development known as new developmentalism. the specific objective is to demonstrate the hypothesis that the new developmentalism is a version of the embedded liberalism, that expresses the compromise between the strategic guidelines of the liberalism and the state interventionism focused on macroeconomic stabilization.
