Una década desigual para los mayores que llegaron tarde al ciberespacio

this article aims to provide an overview of the situation in the first decade of the 21st century with regard to internet equipment and use among the generations over 44 years of age. the article delimits the idea of ？generation？ as the concept explaining the digital gap by age. it goes on to analyse the ？equipment data？ and the information on the ？development of data on people？ issued by the national institute of statistics (ine), to finally concentrate on the exploration of studies on it use published by the centro de investigaciones sociológicas. the research permits the observation of consequences for the digital citizenship of the older generation in the expansion of the internet.
