the design, fabrication and characterization of an rf-dc converter circuit for operating at a frequency of 915 mhz fabricated with a 0.5 μm cmos technology is presented; this is intended applications in rfid passive tags. the design is based on a three stages rectifier-multiplier system implemented with an n-type transistors network connected as diodes as well as capacitors. the minimum input voltage required for its operation is 0.7 v, with a time response shorter than 1 msec, and a dc generated voltage of ±1.5 v.
