Abstract:

This work contains the quantitative characterization of the changeability of the land relief in the bank zone. In the years 2001-2007 on the 250 m stretch of the zone of the eba Sandbar, spreading through the area of the beach and the dune embankment, altitude measurements were conducted with the use of a geodetic method, using TOPCON GTS 229 instrument. The eba Sandbar is put in the central-east part of the Polish coast within the Slovincian National Park. On the basis of data from geodetic measurements, digital models of the land were created. Digital terrain models of the research area were made in the common ring with the diameter of about 0.2 m. The calculations of digital terrain models were carried out on the basis of the interpolation using the minimal curvature method. Basing on estimating loss, the delivery, balance and the transport of sand weren't made by comparing value of ordinates of periods possible for everyone - one-year-old and long-term (01-04, 01-04, 01-05, 01-06, 01-07, 04-05, 04-06, 04-07, 05-06, 05-07 and 06-07). On average, in one-year periods, the transport included approximately 13.3% of the volume of the researched surface, i.e., 3 times more than it results from the work of Miszalski (1973), analyzing primarily the great dune forms. Maximally, in one-year period, 2004-2005, over 14.5 thousands cubic meters of sand underwent transfer within the area of 2,38 ha area which equals to about the 20% of the volume of the researched surface. A mean volume of transport from the surface of 1 square meter changed from 0.31 m in the period 06-07 to 0.67 m in the period 04-06. Average balance of loss and supplies for the surface of 1m changed appropriately from -0.38 m in the period 04-06 to +0.05 m in the period 06-07.
