Priebeh vegetatívnych fenologickych fáz autochtónnych populácií smreka oby ajného (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) zo SlovenskaDOI: 10.2478/v10114-009-0002-7 Keywords: phenology, Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] Karst.), autochthonous populations, Slovakia Abstract: In the paper we summarise our findings on dating and course of vegetative phenophases observed in 22 Norway spruce exemplars representing the original populations in Slovakia. The research was carried out in the Arboretum Borová hora, Zvolenská basin, in the years 2006-2008. The hitherto obtained results show that in all exemplars native to altitudes up to 850 - 950 m, the phenophases started almost simultaneously; but in case of trees native to altitudes exceeding the above-mentioned limit, a time lag was observed. The altitude, however, had no impact on length of the individual phenophases. The beginning of phenophases in individual years was dependent on air temperature and duration of snow cover - the earliest was in 2007, the latest in 2006. We can suppose that in the future, woody plants alien to the sites may suffer from extreme conditions with possible adverse influence on plant physiological processes.
