Formation of flora and vegetation on the emerging lake bed of the Rakutowskie LakeDOI: 10.2478/v10090-009-0023-y Keywords: emerged lake bed, nature reserve, analysis of flora, silt-covered ground vegetation, rush vegetation, ecological processes Abstract: The Rakutowskie Lake is a peculiar body of water, where immense changes in the area of mirror of water take place. Thus, many-hectare areas of revealing lake bed emerge at summer's end. These places are grown by silt-covered ground vegetation and pioneering rush vegetation. Flora of these habitats has been analysed, a list of plant communities has been compiled, the structure of pioneering populations has been presented and the ongoing ecological processes have been defined.
