Over the past 3 decades investigational work regarding workforce attributes and the impact of organizational structures and processes has helped define professional nursing environments that successfully attract, satisfy, and therefore retain professional nurses. An emerging body of literature provides insight into millennial generation nurses. This article aligns attributes of these young nurses with evidence-based strategies designed to enhance satisfaction and retention.
