Reduction of Pollution and Printability Improvement of Cotton , Nylon6 Printed Fabrics Using Acid and Direct Dyes

Cationisation of cotton and nylon6 fabrics were done using Solfix E., Tino fix Eco, Acramine berfix K and Cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTMAB) compounds to provide cationic sites for cotton and nylon6 fabrics to improve the substantivity to acid and direct dyes. Pre-cationisation of cotton and nylon6 fabrics were improved in the depth of the obtained colour prints ( K/S) values as well as the fastness properties to rubbing, washing, and perspiration and their values ranging from very good to excellent, but uncationized samples give results ranging from moderate to good.
