On the Energy Output and Low Vulnerability Characteristics of a New Composite Explosive DN-1
|
Abstract:
In order to achieve both high energy output and low vulnerability of explosive, a new composite explosive DN-1, which takes 2,4-dinitroanisole (DNAN) as the carrier, was developed. The energy output characteristic of this explosive was systematically investigated by blast pressure test system. Shock sensitivity of DN-1 was measured by gap test. Results show that the peak overpressure and the specific energy of shock wave produced by DN-1 explosive are 1.6 times and 1.67 times that of TNT, respectively. The shock wave sensitivity L50 of DN-1 is 7.64mm, much lower than that of TNT. The comprehensive performance of DN-1 is better than traditional explosives such as TNT.
