Simultaneous determination of molybdenum and tin by standard addition-dual wavelength spectrophotometry with trimethoxyphenylfluorone

Abstract:
The experimental conditions for the simultaneous determination of molybdenum and tin by standard addition-dual wavelength spectrophotometry with trimethoxyphenylfluorone were studied.Meanwhile,the synthetic sample of molybdenum and tin and aluminum alloy samples were determined.In the presence of sulfuric acid medium and surfactant OP-10,the determination wavelength and reference wavelength for spectrophotometric determination of molybdenum and tin with trimethoxyphenylfluorone are 524 nm and 503 nm,respectively.The ranges obeying Beer’s law were 0-20 μg/25 mL and 0-15 μg/25 mL,respectively.This method was applied to the simultaneous determination of molybdenum and tin in synthetic sample of molybdenum and tin and aluminum alloy actual samples.The recoveries were 97 %-106 %,and the relative standard deviations(RSD) were less than 3 %.
