Inorganic Flake Zinc-rich Coating Modified by Silicate-acrylate Copolymerization Emulsion

Abstract:
The effect of silicate-acrylate copolymerization emulsion on inorganic zinc-rich coating was studied through modification of the bonding agent for the coating with silicate-acrylate copolymerization emulsion.The results show that the bonding agent modified with 20 mass% of silicate-acrylate copolymerization emulsion shows the better wetting ability with the zinc flake.Therewith,the properties of the modified coating such as the adhesive strength, water-proof,corrosion-resistance,heat-resistance etc.were obviously enhanced.Therefore,the coating has very good application prospect.
