Comparison of the dose changes of SonoVue and Sonazoid to imaging effect of rabbit liver in the high-frequency(7 MHz) state
|
Abstract:
Objective Contrast enhancement of SonoVue and Sonazoid were compared in rabbit liver at frequency of 7 MHz by ultrasound using an imaging dose ranging from 0.015 to 0.24 mL/kg.Method Eight rabbits(weight 2.30±0.30 kg) were injected with the two contrast agents in 7-8 dosage bolus level.Quantitative analysis was done by using time-intensity curve(TIC) to correlate the concentration of the agents and perfusion parameters.Result With the same frequency and a mechanical index was adapted for each agent(mechanical index is 0.25 for SonoVue and 0.4 for Sonazoid):(1) SonoVue group:rise time(RT),time to peak(TTP) and mean transit time(mTT) did not change significantly along with an increase of dose;at 0.18 mL/kg,peak intensity(PI) reached to maximum.(2) Sonazoid group:RT and TTP climbed to peak(0.015mL/kg,0.03 mL/kg) along with an increase of dose and mTT varied significantly with imaging dose.PI increased with the dose. Conclusion Due to the different physical and chemical properties, the two ultrasonic contrast agents have different imaging effects in the high-frequency(7 MHz) state.
