Virtualization technology of programmable router

As the core equipment of constructing the future internet test bed, programmable virtual routers will play a key role in building the experimental verification the architectures of the future internet and associated protocols, and evaluating the performance of the algorithm. This paper analyzes the basic concept and characteristic of the programmable virtual router, classifies the overall structure of the programmable virtual router, and describes the functions of each hierarchy in details. Then, gives a programmable virtualization router design scheme based on NetFPGA, and discusses virtualization technologies of programmable router.
