Frequency-swept measurement of electrical parameters of rock

Abstract:
A frequency-swept measurement system of rock complex resistivity using coil antenna is introduced. Some experiments and analysis of rock samples are fulfilled with this system. The result indicates that the electrical dispersion law of rock which is got from measurements with coil antenna is correlated with that from electrode antenna. There is a relationship between the measuring voltage and the brine saturation of rock. The imaginary component of response is more sensitive to the change of brine saturation of rock than the real component. The conclusion lays the basic theoretic foundation for developing the new electrical spectrum well logging method.
