Responsabilidade social & educa o universitária

O presente artigo versa sobre um estudo acerca da responsabilidade social de universidade comunitária do Rio Grande do Sul na vis o de seus gestores. A responsabilidade social universitária é compreendida como a capacidade que tem a universidade como institui o de difus o e coloca o em prática de um conjunto de princípios e valores. Os agentes envolvidos no processo de responsabilidade social da universidade, professores, funcionários e alunos, precisam estar disponíveis e entenderem sua participa o nesse processo, enquanto desenvolvimento da competência social, importante elemento para que se possa compreender o papel da Universidade para com seu entorno e, também, para a constru o de conhecimento. Entende-se que aí reside o principal desafio da responsabilidade social universitária: o de cada um questionar suas intencionalidades individuais frente a si, ao outro, à comunidade, à sociedade e ao mundo, tendo como referencial o propósito de vida, potencial em cada um de nós, para, após, transformá-las, juntamente com as criatividades singulares e as constru es de conhecimento particulares, em a es e atividades institucionais e coletivas. Isso será possível na medida em que os gestores universitários conseguirem estabelecer espa os de autoforma o que viabilizem processos de participa o coletivos, envolvendo docentes, discentes e funcionários nos processos decisórios. Abstract This article presents a study on the social responsibility of the community university of Rio Grande do Sul in the vision of its managers. The universitarian social responsibility is understood as the ability of the university as an institution for disseminating and putting into practice a set of principles and values. The agents involved in the social responsibility, such as university faculty, staff and students, must be available and understand their participation in this process, as development of social competence, an important element to be able to understand the role of the university to its surroundings and also for the construction of knowledge. It is understood that there lies the main challenge of universitarian social responsibility: the questioning make by each subject about his/her individual intentions against his/herself, others, community, society and the world, having as reference the purpose of life, beating in each of us, and then, transform them, along with the unique creativity and individual constructions of knowledge, into institutional and collective actions and activities .
