La experiencia de la temporalidad en las sociedades contemporáneas, identidades sociales y rituales conmemorativos: Una propuesta de análisis desde la sociología y la teoría de la historia The Experience of Temporality in Contemporary Societies, Social Identities, and Commemorative Rituals: An Analytical Proposal from the Standpoint of Sociology and the Theory of History

El artículo parte de un examen de la distinción entre memoria histórica y memoria conmemorativa para analizar los rituales conmemorativos como actos performativos definidos por elementos de índole afectiva e identitaria, más que cognitiva. A la luz de esta temática, se ponderan las aportaciones de autores como Halbawchs, Connerton, Durkheim, Zerubavel, Koselleck, Hartog, Rüsen, entre otros, para identificar algunos de los problemas que representa el estudio sociológico e histórico de las conmemoraciones. Presentamos una reflexión de corte teórico para plantear este tema, a la luz de las condiciones propias de la experiencia de la temporalidad en las sociedades modernas y contemporáneas. The starting point of this article is an examination of the distinction between historical memory and commemorative memory for analyzing commemorative rituals as performative acts defined by affective -and identity- related -more than cognitive- factors. In this light, it ponders the contributions of authors like Halbawchs, Connerton, Durkheim, Zerubavel, Koselleck, Hartog, and Rüsen, among others, to identify some of the problems found in the sociological and historic study of commemorations. It presents theoretical reflections for posing the topic in light of the conditions stemming from the experience of temporality in modern, contemporary societies.
