Self-censorship and resistances in the autobiographical texts of Leiris and Savinio Autocensure e resistenze nei testi autobiografici di Leiris e Savinio

In the landscape of genres autobiography seems to provide a favored perspective by which observe the relationships between literature and its “legislative” dimension whether considered as existential act or analyzed as literary form tout court; indeed if in the first case the repressions and the taboos that have hindered its diffusion in times not too remote could be included in rules and laws, for the most part unofficial, that regulate literary imagery, in the second case its hybrid morphological features could be observed as a case study in the connections among paradigmatic laws of genre and syntagmatic rules of texts. Autobiographical text establishes a two-faced relationship with Law: on the one hand is constantly subordinated to the laws that influence the writing subject, on the other hand is strongly insubordinated to the unstable rules of genre. However this two-faced relationship seems to assume special connotations in twentieth century. Nel panorama dei generi l’autobiografia sembra fornire una prospettiva privilegiata da cui osservare i rapporti tra il fatto letterario e la sua dimensione ‘legislativa’ sia se presa in considerazione come atto esistenziale sia se analizzata come forma letteraria tout court; e infatti se nel primo caso le repressioni e i tabù che ne hanno ostacolato la produzione in epoche non troppo remote andrebbero annoverati tra le norme e le leggi culturali, per la maggiore ufficiose, che regolano l’immaginario della letteratura, nel secondo caso le caratteristiche morfologiche ibride la renderebbero vagliabile come caso esemplare nel rapporto tra le leggi paradigmatiche dei generi e le norme sintagmatiche delle singole opere. Il testo autobiografico sembra instaurare un rapporto bifronte con la legge: da una parte è costantemente subordinato alle leggi che condizionano il Soggetto scrivente, narrante e narrato, dall’altra è tenacemente insubordinato alle norme mobili del genere. Tuttavia questo duplice rapporto pare assumere connotati particolari nel Novecento.
