The completion of armed forces during war, as well as during peace, is the basicstrategic implement of the defensive preparations, on which the combativepreparedness of a country depends. The majority of Army duties are specialties whichdemand certain profession, general and technical education and a high psychologicaland physical preparation. Owing to that, in preparing for defense, choice, selection,deployment, organization, completion, facilitation and training of soldiers is of crucialsignificance.During peacetime completion of the Armed forces, a basic condition for a successfulcombat facilitation is the rational usage of disposable human potential. The extent ofthat rationality depends on whether or not each person has been placed where theycan make the biggest contribution to the degree of combative preparedness.Implementing new, modern technique and weapons imposes the need ofdeliberation over the increasing role of the human factor and their aptitudes, as well astheir desire and motivation of using the latter. The conscious motivation is a daily,constant initiative. Motivation is the key to understanding the personality.Examining the motivation among the young population for joining the armed forcesis exceedingly important from the point of view of the theory of completion of armedforces. It is a question of crucial importance whether quality and quantity can beprovided. Its meaning amplifies because motivation during completion directlyinfluences soldiers’ motivation during the course of training, encouraging them tomaximize their efforts into overcoming every possible hardship, consequently usingtheir full potential. This is crucial, because the aim of the training is accomplishingmaximal combative preparedness of every unit.
