APPROACH ON THE USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION IN THE TRAINING OF READER-LIBRARIAN BETWEEN THE LIBRARIANSHIP STUDENTS OF UFPAKeywords: Reading , New Information Technology and Communication , Librarianship , Federal University of Para Librarian Abstract: Discusses the relationship between the New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC) and reading treated in an interdisciplinary perspective in the context of undergraduate librarianship in the UFPA. The study aims to examine how these tools are appropriated and used by graduate students to focus on access to scholarly texts for the reading and writing of these students who are undergoing training. Conducting methodological article was first performed on stage with the literature of authors such as foundations Castells (1999), Freire (2005) without giving up the contributions of other thinkers on the subject addressed in the research and the second leg by qualitative exploratory study quantitative and a questionnaire with closed questions, open, hybrid and later with analysis and data collection done with the students of the School of Library Science at UFPA class of 2008 in morning and night shifts made in two months. As a result, research shows that over half of the undergraduates interviewed consider that the practice of reading coupled with the use of the NCITthrought their answers, as relevant to obtaining a satisfactory degree of proficiency in academic and subsequently enter the job market with more qualification. Ends the reading and understanding that the ICTs are an essential component in the training of librarians, particularly in a context of production and reproduction of information / texts in digital environments, pointing to the con struction of new reading habits based on computer use.
