Projecte Almirall : posada en valor del patrimoni

El Projecte Almirall: Cultura i pensament dels segles xix i xx és un portal d'investigació i difusió de la cultura que té com a principal objectiu contextualitzar i explicar de quina manera els corrents culturals europeus es van introduir a Catalunya i a Espanya, i com van marcar i influir pensadors, intel·lectuals, polítics i artistes al llarg de tot el segle xix i els primers anys del segle xx. L'article revisarà diversos aspectes importants del desenvolupament del projecte i les seves línies de futur davant d'un moment de crisi. és ben sabut que les biblioteques compleixen, entre moltes d'altres, una funció cabdal en la intermediació entre els usuaris i els documents. Aquest aspecte és més important en biblioteques patrimonials per la singularitat dels seus fons i les necessitats dels especialistes i investigadors en l'estudi d'un període històric o moviment filosòfic, artístic o polític determinat. Aquest article vol mostrar l'experiència d'un projecte bibliotecari en què la biblioteca va una mica més enllà de la simple mediació i passa a coordinar un servei que contextualitza les seves obres i patrimoni bibliogràfic. Un projecte en què investigadors i bibliotecaris treballen conjuntament per generar coneixement i valor sobre la base d'una col·lecció d'obres patrimonials.The Projecte Almirall: Cultura i pensament dels segles xix i xx is a portal for the research and dissemination of nineteenth and twentieth century culture and thinking, the main aim of which is to contextualize and explain how European cultural currents of thought entered Catalonia and Spain, and how they came to influence thinkers, intellectuals, politicians and artists during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The article reviews various key aspects of the project and its future development at a time of crisis. It is well known that libraries play a crucial role, among others, as intermediaries between users and documents. This role acquires even greater importance in heritage libraries because of the uniqueness of their collections and the needs of specialists and researchers studying a particular historical period or philosophical, artistic or political movement. This article presents the experience of a library project in which the library seeks to go a little further in its role of mediation and to assume the coordination of a service that contextualises its works and bibliographic heritage. In this project researchers and librarians work together to generate knowledge and value on the foundation of a collection of heritage works.
