A Survey of Approaches for Real Time Traffic Load Computation

This document presents the survey of techniques used for image processing in real time. These techniques can be used for computing traffic load from images captured from CCTV Cameras. In first paper histogram equalization algorithm and matlab coding is used. In histogram approach, original image of traffic load has been taken. Comparison with its equalized image and its equalized threshold value has been performed. Second paper uses video filter which control brightness, contrast, edge detection, segmentation, smoothening of video. Both the papers are implemented to process images in real time.
