Effect of Leachate Resulted from a Mineland in Elazig City on Maden Stream: I. Heavy Metals

In this study, effect of leachate which result from a mine area in Elazig city on Maden stream was investigated. The concentrations of heavy metals (Cu, Ni, Mn, Co, Pb, Fe ve Mn) resulting from mine area were compared with the water quality criteria reported in the Water Pollution Control Regulations (WPCR) and it was determined that these concentrations adversely affected water quality.
