Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever: The First Case in anl urfa, TurkeyKeywords: Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever virus , anl urfa. Abstract: Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is one of the viral hemorrhagic fever syndromes that is mostly transmitted by tick bites in endemic regions. In Turkey, the first cases were diagnosed in 2002 and 2003 Spring and Summer seasons, especially after tick bites in Tokat, Yozgat and Sivas provinces. In recent years, CCHF has been less common in Southeastern Anatolia where our province is located, although an increasing number of CCHF cases have been reported from our country. In this report, the first case of CCHF diagnosed and followed up in Sanliurfa is presented.
