Experimental study on the cross flow air cooled plate heat exchanger using fin with electric pump.

Experimental study on the cross flow air cooled plate heat exchanger using fin with electric pump was performed. Two prototype plate heat exchanger were manufactured in a stack of single wave plates and double plates in parallel. Cooling air flows through the plate heat exchanger in across wise direction against internal cooling water. In this study prototype heat exchanger were tested in a laboratoryscale experiments. From test double wave plates heatexchanger shows approximately 52.50 % enhanced heat transfer performance compare to single wave plates heat exchanger . However double wave heat exchanger costs 30%additional pressure drop .
